No Measuring Pop Up Card

How pretty is this Pop Up Card?  I sat at my desk this morning and decided to make one of these.  Nikky Hall of Polkadoodles demonstrated this on Create & Craft this week.  Her No Measuring Pop Up Box Card!  If you would like to see how to make one of these cards, she has put it on Youtube.
I made the Pop Up Box Card then decorated it.  I used papers from Close to My Heart with bees on it, edged the flaps with a daisy punch.  Then I stamped and punched out the flowers and butterflies, die cut some florals and put it altogether.  I used a ticket sentiment and added it to the front.  There it is.

Flower Pot Card - Using Stampin Up Stamps and Punches

Oh I love this card - I have just made one for my Polkadoodles DT Challenge using their products. So I decided to use the Stampin Up Stamps and Punches that has made this card.  I love Black and White cards also. So to me this has turned out pefect.  I have made this as a Thank you card for a dear friend that is helping me at the moment.  I cut out the flowerpot using my template  and instructions that I saw on Youtube - flowerpot card.  I stamped out all the flowers and butterflies and then punched them out.  I punched out a daisy border using a Martha Stewart punch to keep the flowerpot together and added a flower and butterfly.  I then die cut a flower border and cut it in half.  I then cut a piece of white card and matted it onto black cardstock, added a Thank you sentiment at the bottom. Adhered the die cut flowery border to the side of the cards added the three flowers and then on the frongs of the flowery twine I adhered the butterflies using pinflair silicone glue, added some more butterflies to complete the flowerpot!  Love it!

Polkadoodles Challenge - Spring is in the Air

My card today hasn't any characters as I decided to do this lovely little flower pot card made from plain cardstock and papers from the Sugar Plum Daisy CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk).  I cut out a template for the card and matted one of the papers on the front. I then cut out a border to go around the flower put to keep it together, I then added a tag and bow.  I then cut out some cream card and matted it on the brown cardstock for the flower tag.  I stamped Happy Mother's Day at the bottom and then added my punched out flowers from the two background papers, added little buttons for the centres. I also die cut a flowery twine and cut it in half and put it at the back of the flowers.  I really love how this has turned out.

Creative Moments Challenge - Aurora Wings

How cute is this image?  This is image is called Cala Lily and is from Aurora Wings Digi Images.
I printed her out and coloured her with my Graph'it Markers. I then cut around the image and adhered her to some pretty green paper that I had in my paper stash. Cut out the frame using a Spellbinders die. I then added some die cut flowers and butterfly.  No sentiment is needed for this lovely card I think x

I thought I would enter this card in the Graph'it Markers Challenge.

Digi Choosday - Animals

So for today's Digi Choosday challenge its Animals.  So I went through all my Polkadoodles CD Rom to find some cute animals.  I chose the Sugar Plum Daisy CD Rom, this is a lovely CD rom, cute images, lovely backing papers and scenes.  I first found the background I liked, then some bees, then some hedgehogs and finally picked the little girl. I printed them all off separately. I made a stepper card and matted the background and border onto some black cardstock.  I then cut out the images and popped the bees on some acetate, so they look like they are flying, put 3D foam pads onto to her and the hedgies to give the card some dimension.  Printed a sheet of sentiments off the CD also and chose one of them and matted it onto black cardstock also.  What a cute card x

Digi Choosday Challenge - One for the Boys!

Hello there, doesn't the weeks fly by - It's Digi Choosday again!  this week, I have chosen an image from Emma Canning and coloured him with my Graph'it markers.  Edged the image softly with my Pan Pastels.  Adhered him to a Spellbinders die cut and then matted him on some stripey paper that I had in my crafty stash and then onto a kraft cardstock card.  I printed a stack of books out from the Pretty Tuff CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk) and added a sentiment.  A quick and easy card. I hope you like it.

Creative Moments - Steampunk Sally

Wow did I have fun doing this Challenge for Creative Moments.  This fab digi image is from Delicious Doodles.  Her name is Steampunk Sally.  I have never made a steampunk card, I have all the stamps, embossing folders, dies to make the cards but never had!  So this is my first.  She was great to colour, I decided to see what she looked like in vivid colours first, then once I had finished her I went and did sepia tones.  I really don't know which one I like best!  I will let you decide.  She was coloured with Graph'it markers and I used various embossing folders on plain cardstock and then shussed them up with Metallic Pan Pastels. Please let me know what you think!

Digi Choosday Challenge - One for the ladies

Hello there!  For my Digi Choosday Challenge this week it is "One for the Ladies".  I chose this digi image from the Candy Doodles CD Rom (available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk)  and coloured her in using my promarkers.  The colours are more subtle than the Graph'it markers, but I think she turned out good.  I cut the image out using a Spellbinders (Splendid Circles) die. I then chose a backing paper from the CD Rom and matted it onto black cardstock.  I cut a ribbon strip with the black cardstock also. Adhered it to the card, used 3D sticky dots on the topper to give it some dimension. Cut out two of the butterflies from the remainder of the backing papers and adhered them to the ribbon strip using Pinflair glue.  Well that is it for today, I hope you like the card. See you next week x

Polkadoodles Challenge - Mums the Word

Hi there, for this week's Design Team Challenge for Polkadoodles, I chose to use the Picknix Collection 1 CD Rom available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk  to digitally create a card.
I chose papers and embellishments from the Welcome Home Section. This sums up my memories of my Mum when I was young - She was always in the kitchen, making dinner, cakes, pies and drinking coffee and the odd sherry at Christmas! Ha Ha!  So this is for you Mum xx

Hello, our challenge for today was Spring Florals - I love Spring, the warmth of the sun, the buds on the trees and the birds singing! Ummmm.....  Ok back to reality, it is cold and dull in Germany today! Anyway,  for this week's challenge I decided to go through all my Polkadoodle CD Roms!  Umm... I have quite a lot now and love them all! I chose Candy Doodles available at www.polkadoodles.co.uk
where I picked this lovely little chap holding a bouquet of daisies and two backing papers.  I printed them out, cut out my little man and then adhered the backing paper to the card blank, added him and then punched out some butterflies and flowers using my new punch. Added a little glitter and centers to the flowers using dimentional paint and of course a sentiment.  There it is for today, I hope you like it x

Flatfriends DT Challenge - Boys!!!

For our challenge this month is For the Boys!!  I chose this new image from Emma Canning, which is available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk., coloured it with Graph'it markers and cut it out. I had some stripey card in my crafty stash and thought it looked with the image.  I distressed the edges, cut a banner and adhered them to the card blank. I then added a sentiment. Simple, but cool for a teenager!
